Casting On
It seems rather appropriate to start a new post on a new blog with a new project, doesn’t it? I recently pulled out my needles and cast on Knitty’s “Muir.” For my 4-H project this year, I decided to work on improving my (practically non-existent) lace knitting skills. I have knit a few lace book marks and one lace collar, but other than that, I am sorely lacking in that skill area.
To make it a little easier for me, I am using a heavier weight of yarn that would typically be used when knitting lace. Incidentally, it is a bamboo yarn that came in my prize box from Knitty, after I was the Grand Prize Winner of last year’s (2008) calendar contest.
New little blog, I will try not to neglect you. You may not always be talking about knitting, but hopefully whatever you are speaking of will not be boring. Best of luck to you, dear blog, and to you, my reader.
